It explains the cookies and similar technologies used on our application form pages such as career.canadaica.ca and internship.canadaica.ca (the "Form Pages"). The canadaica.ca website has its own cookie notice.

2. What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files saved in your browser when you visit a web page. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, may serve the same purpose; this notice calls them all "cookies".
3. Cookies We Use
The Form Pages use two kinds of cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies. They are needed for the form to work securely and cannot be switched off. They do not depend on your consent.

|---|---|---|---|
| canadaica-session | Company | Keeping the session; keeping what you typed after a failed submission | Up to 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Company | Preventing forged form submissions (CSRF) | Up to 2 hours |
| cica_cookie_consent (local storage) | Company | Remembering your cookie choice | 6 months |
Analytics cookies. They are used only if you choose "Accept". If you do not accept, they are not placed in your browser and the Google Analytics code is not loaded at all.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Keeping a random identifier to tell visitors apart | 2 years | |
| ga* | Keeping the visit session | 2 years |
These cookies are saved for the canadaica.ca domain. If you have also allowed analytics cookies on the canadaica.ca website, your visits to both sites may therefore be measured as those of the same visitor.
4. Data Processed Through Analytics Cookies
Google Analytics processes: the Form Pages you visit and the time you spend on them, the site or campaign that referred you, device and browser type, screen size, language setting, approximate location at country and city level, whether you sent your application, and the random identifier in the cookie.
Your name, e-mail address, phone number, and answers entered in the form are never sent to Google. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store visitors' IP addresses; location is only derived from the IP address at the moment of the visit. Google signals and ad personalization are switched off; the data is not used for advertising.
5. Purposes and Legal Grounds
- Strictly necessary cookies are processed to receive your application and keep the form secure, on the grounds that processing is directly related to the conclusion of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c) and is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms (KVKK Art. 5/2-f).
- Analytics cookies are processed only on the basis of your explicit consent (KVKK Art. 5/1), to improve the pages and our promotional work by measuring how many people the Form Pages reach, which channels visitors come from, and how the forms are used.
The data is collected automatically by electronic means through cookies.
6. Transfers
Data collected through analytics cookies is transferred to our service provider Google Ireland Limited and its affiliates, including Google LLC, to provide the Google Analytics service. Their servers may be located outside Türkiye, in particular in the European Union and the United States. Transfers abroad are made in line with Article 9 of the KVKK, on the basis of an adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards such as standard contracts notified to the Personal Data Protection Authority, or the other conditions set out in that article. Google's data processing terms are available on the Google Business Data Responsibility page.
Data processed through strictly necessary cookies is used only by the Company and stored on the servers of our hosting provider.
7. Managing Your Choice and Withdrawing Consent
On your first visit to the Form Pages, a notice offers "Accept" and "Reject" equally. Rejecting does not stop you from applying; the form works the same. Continuing to use the page without making a choice is not consent.
You can change your choice or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of the Form Pages. When you withdraw it, the analytics cookies are deleted from your browser and data is no longer sent; processing carried out before the withdrawal remains lawful. Your choice is remembered for 6 months and then asked again.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. To stop Google Analytics from collecting data on all websites, you can use Google's browser add-on.
8. Retention
Cookies stay in your browser for the durations given in the tables above. Visit data collected in Google Analytics is kept for 2 months and then deleted by Google; only aggregated reports that do not identify an individual visitor are kept.
9. Your Rights and How to Apply
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and, if so, to request information about it; to learn the purpose of processing and whether the data is used accordingly; to know the third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom it is transferred; to ask for incomplete or inaccurate data to be corrected; to ask for its erasure or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK and for these actions to be notified to the third parties it was transferred to; to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.
To exercise these rights, send your request with your name, contact details, and the subject of your request to info@canadaica.ca, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller. Your request is answered free of charge within 30 days at the latest; if it involves an additional cost, the fee set by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. If your request is rejected, you find the answer insufficient, or it is not answered in time, you may file a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Board.
